Armchair BEA - Introduction!

Armchair BEA has finally arrived! This is my first year participating in this event and I'm really excited. There's going to be tons of info on great books as well as meeting fellow bloggers & giveaway!

For the first day of Armchair BEA, we are asked to introduce ourselves a bit and answer a few interview questions. Without further ado - I interview... MYSELF.

Please tell us a little bit about yourself: Who are you? How long have you been blogging? Why did you get into blogging?

My name is Stephanie and I am 28 years old. I live in rural Northwest Pennsylvania with my husband and our pets. I am currently getting my Master's degree in English. I started blogging about 7 months ago, but moved to my current blog in January 2012. I got into blogging because I'm constantly reading & I love books. None of my friends or family are into reading that much, so I decided to share my thoughts online instead.

What are you currently reading, or what is your favorite book you have read so far in 2012?
I am currently reading Revived by Cat Patrick. So far, my favorite books I've read this year have been Grave Mercy by Robin LaFevers, Struck by Jennifer Bosworth, Hemlock by Kathleen Peacock, and The Book of Blood and Shadow by Robin Wasserman.

Tell us one non-book-related thing that everyone reading your blog may not know about you.
Aside from my book obsession, I love to watch movies and TV shows! And I am kind of a crazy cat lady when it comes to my kitty, Casper.

What is your favorite feature on your blog (i.e. author interviews, memes, something specific to your blog)?
I love everything about the blog! I really love it when authors stop by and comment on posts I've done about them & their books. It really makes my day!

Where do you see your blog in five years?
I plan on (and hope to!) be still blogging on a regular basis. I also hope that my following gets bigger and I make many more friends.

Which is your favorite post that you have written that you want everyone to read?
I don't think I have a favorite post, but I would like people to read the reviews that I give 5 stars to. Hopefully they'll decide to read the books too!

If you could eat dinner with any author or character, who would it be and why?
Only one? I'd probably eat dinner with Anne Rice. She is the author who inspired my love for books, especially vampires. I first read her book, Servant of the Bones, when I was 13. I have been in love with the paranormal, especially vamps, ever since.

What literary location would you most like to visit? Why?
Hogwarts! Enough said!!
What is your favorite part about the book blogging community? Is there anything that you would like to see change in the coming years?
I love the real sense of community and friendship among book bloggers. I'm a newish blogger, and I love that I feel accepted and that I have regular friends that stop by and comment on my posts. I would love to see more events to meet fellow bloggers in the coming years.

Have your reading tastes changed since you started blogging? How?
No, my reading tastes have basically stayed the same. I have found myself getting way more into YA than I previously was, but I'm not complaining at all!
Come back tomorrow for tons of giveaways for Armchair BEA!
