Delighting in Your Company Release Day Blitz

Delighting in Your Company: A Haunting Romance
Author: Blair McDowell
Genre: Paranormal Romance

Blurb:
What more could a girl ask for?

When Amalie Ansett visits her elderly cousin on the small Caribbean island of St. Clements, the last thing she’s looking for is romance. Just out of a disastrous marriage, she’s ready to swear off men forever.

That is until she meets local plantation owner, Jonathan Evans.

He is tall, good looking, intelligent and incredibly sexy.

What more could a girl ask for?

An unsolved murder … Then Amalie discovers that the man she loves is a ghost. Only she can see and hear him. Perhaps he is real to her because Amalie is the image of her distant ancestor, Jonathan’s bride in that earlier time.

Jonathan was murdered two hundred years ago, and has no knowledge of who killed him or why. A perilous trip to the past… When Jonathan asks her to help him by returning with him to his past, Amalie is torn. If she helps him solve the mystery surrounding his death, she could lose him forever.

If she doesn’t, she is stuck with a ghost for a lover. And a love that crosses the boundaries of time.

To save Jonathan, Amalie agrees to travel with him back in time to the Caribbean of the 1800’s, when sugar reigned supreme and the slave trade was making fortunes for wealthy planters and ship owners. Her adventures there include a slave uprising, murder, deceit and an enduring love that crosses the boundaries of time.

About the Author:

I started to write soon after I found my first pencil. But I began to write for publication about 30 years ago -- professional books. I wrote six of them, all still in print and still in use. Only lately have I turned to fiction.
I'd have done it a lot sooner if I'd had any idea how much fun it was! I’ve lived in many different places. The US -- Certain cities call to me. I love San Francisco and Seattle and the wonderful Oregon Coast. Australia -- among the most open welcoming people in the world, and a wide open young country with incredible land and sea scapes, with amazing animal and bird life right out of science fiction.
Canada -- HOME. The place where I belong. I travel a lot. I usually spend the month of October in Europe, Greece or Italy, and the winter in a little house I built many years ago on a small non-touristy Caribbean Island. I have worked and studied in many places -- Hungary, Australia the US and Canada, and have spoken in most of the States and Provinces as well as Taiwan and various cities in Europe.
I enjoy being surrounded by cultures other than my own. I enjoy my own as well -- but variety is indeed the spice of my life. I keep busy -- and I love my life. I love meeting the people who come here to the west coast of Canada and stay in my B&B. I love traveling after the tourist season is over.
And I love writing. My interests?? Music, especially opera, reading everything in print, and Writing. And walking on the beach and swimming. At one point I had hoped to swim in every major sea and ocean. I've realized that may not be possible in one lifetime -- but trying has been fun!

Harvest Dreams Release Day Blitz & Giveaway

Harvest Dreams
Book III in the Magic Seasons series
By Jacqueline Paige

Armed with magic and a plan ...

Step into a world of magic and passions....

Take a dash of spice, heat it
Add a flash of magic and watch the sparks fly
Toss in a killer that's targeting women

Add a handful of witches from all paths to stir it all together...

Blurb:
Rachel is a woman that lives carefree with a buoyant recklessness. She loves being a flirt and has spent many years indulging that side of her personality. Her energy draws others; her character is to protect all those that cannot protect themselves. When she’s not riding on life, she is helping children less fortunate then herself.
Steven is man that gives more than his energy usually allows. He is a highly respected pediatrician that always goes that extra step to ensure all in his care are receiving his utmost attention. He often sacrifices sleep to spend time with his friends, and he can’t seem to help affably chasing the skirt of the one woman that breaks his easy going charm and makes him forget he’s supposed to be the jovial. He hides his strength in body and magic, never letting others know that he is more than the carefree man with everything he needs.

Armed with magic and a plan for the Lammas festival as a group they are determined to stop the killer from harming anyone again. With a plan of his own, Steven decides he’s done waiting for Rachel to see that they’re meant to be together and takes things into his own hands.

Excerpt #1:
When they were well out of sight Steven stopped and looked back towards the cabin.
Chris hissed out a breath as he looked around. “This should be far enough.” He looked at the trees overhead and then to the ground. “How do you want to do this?” He sent him a wary look. “Who are you going after?”

Steven rubbed his jaw. “Not Kasey, she’d just zap my ass and I’d probably have burn marks.” He noted the pride in Chris’s eyes as he tried not to smirk. “I’m going to aim for Rachel or Leena, definitely not Cora. If she so much as made a sound, Dade would thump me into the ground.”

Chris grinned. “And you don’t think Owen would?”

Steven shook his head. “Leena wouldn’t let him.” He let out a deep breath and then held up his hands, palms facing Chris. “Here goes nothing.” He closed his eyes and took slow breaths as he reached deep inside to the magic he held tightly within his body. He felt it climb through him and warm his skin. When Chris’s finger tips touched his, he felt a powerful boost to the magic gathering.

He pictured Rachel inside his mind and focused on her for a few seconds, testing. A heat spread through him as he felt the connection to her aura pass over his own. He searched for the way into her thoughts and felt her mind click open as if he’d turned a lock. Taking a deep breath he concentrated harder.

His hands shook until he felt Chris funnel some of his own power into the sight he was trying to grasp. He could see all of the women and a multitude of colors as they moved around inside the cabin. He could feel nervousness and anxiety. Furrowing his brow his held onto the link as it started to change. He couldn’t sense what it was now, it had somehow changed quickly. It was as if …

A blast of power shot through him and sent him sprawling to the ground. His hands were burning suddenly and it felt like he’d been hit across the head with something made of stone. He opened his eyes slowly and looked up at the leaves on the trees above him. Lifting his head carefully he looked around and spotted Chris lying flat on his back as well.

“We are in a lot of trouble, Doctor.” Chris sounded out of breath.

“Yeah,” he agreed and then turned his head towards the steps coming from the direction of the cabin.

Whisper of Memory Release Party - Guest Post & Giveaway

Guest Post with author Brinda Berry!

Whisper of Memory Playlist

Music is a great way for writers to gain inspiration for their novel. I love music for brainstorming and then later for editing. Here is where I'm going to admit something weird. I imagine my novel in full 3-D color scenes.  Music soundtracks can be a vital part of any movie to set the mood of each scene.

I listen to my customized playlists during the creation of my novel. When I'm finished and it's ready to the final touches, my favorite part is compiling a playlist that I feel accompanies all those scenes I see in my head. My playlist for Whisper of Memory embodies the spirit of each scene and makes it rock (in my head, of course). It's too bad that ebooks don't embed music links where you could see where I think the music belongs. Hey..I think I've just invented a concept.

So, I hope you enjoy this playlist. Do you have a song that you associate with a certain scene in a book you love?
