Description:

We’d both gone missing at one point, but Claire had one thing I didn’t. Someone to notice. So why was I the one still here and she the one still gone?

Nineteen year old Megan Smith has spent the past year working in a small town diner in the middle of nowhere. Life is quiet, simple, safe. Then comes the news that her look-a-like has gone missing.

Claire.

Still damaged both physically and mentally, Megan's not looking to be noticed. Wherever she goes from here, it's a road she needs to take alone. But when Nickolas Ellis takes the job as the new nightshift cook, it scares her how easily her defenses crumble down, down, down for him. But there are secrets she can't bear to share with just anyone, unspeakable acts that continue to haunt, and when the similarities of Claire’s abduction couples with the fear of an unwanted visitor in town, the urge to run before it all happens again intensifies, threatening the only happiness Megan's ever found.

New Adult Romantic Suspense / Dark Realistic Fiction
Recommended for 17+ for mature and disturbing situations, language and sexual content.

Future 2013 Releases I’m Most Excited For

Alright, so I’ve been lucky enough to already read some of these in advance, but since they haven’t been released to the public yet, I’m totally adding them too, ‘cause I think their awesomeness deserves mentioning!

* Reviving Izabel (In the Company of Killers) by J.A. Redmerski. An assassin and a sex slave from the Mexican cartel that hired him. Oddest couple ever yet it seems to work in a disturbing, twisted manner. Now if only they can figure that out! Quoting the song Clarity by Zedd: “If our love is tragedy, why are you my remedy? If our love is insanity, why are you my clarity?”

* Consume (The Clann #3) by Melissa Darnell. Love this Romeo and Juliet inspired trilogy. One is the future ruler of the witch Clann, the other was cast out because she was born from her witch mother and vampire father. Forbidden doesn’t even begin to cover it. And oh yeah, Clann members can hear one another’s thoughts just like the vampires can hear one another’s thoughts. So Savannah can hear everyone, and boy does it make it interesting at times!

* Origin (Lux #4) by Jennifer Armentrout. Duh. One word. Damon. And he’s on the warpath to rescue his gal from the clutches of his enemy.

* Star Cursed (The Cahill Witch Chronicles #2) by Jessica Spotswood. The first was one of the best witch books I’ve read to date and I loved the forbidden romance.

* Unfed (Undead #2) by Kirsty McKay. The Breakfast Club meets Zombies. Need I say more?

* Monsters (The Ashes Trilogy) by Ilsa J. Bick.

* The Iron Traitor (The Iron Fey: Call of the Forgotten #2) by Julie Kagawa. This series hasn’t blown me away like the Iron Fey, but I still have hope for it.

* Midnight Frost (Mythos Academy #5) by Jennifer Estep. Love this gypsy girl and mythological quests; and, oh yeah, her Spartan boyfriend Logan!

* The Edge of Always (The Edge of Never #2) by J.A. Redmerski. Duh. Two words. Andrew Parrish.

* Sentinel (Covenant #5) by Jennifer Armentrout. The first three blew me away, so hopefully the fifth will reclaim what I loved so much about this series that seemed lacking in the fourth.

* Nearly Mended (Nearly #2) by Devon Ashley. Uh, I can put my own book up here, right? At the very least I am really excited to get started on this!

Thanks for stopping by the blog today and sharing some upcoming 2013 releases that you're looking forward to Devon!
