Publisher: Simon & Schuster

John Lago is a very bad guy. But he’s the very best at what he does. And what he does is infiltrate top-level companies and assassinate crooked executives while disguised as an intern. That’s the secret behind HR, Inc., the elite “placement agency” that doubles as a network of assassins for hire who take down high-profile targets that wouldn’t be able to remember an intern’s name if their lives depended on it.
At the ripe old age of almost twenty-five, John Lago is nearing his mandatory retirement with HR Inc. His last assignment is at New York City’s most prestigious law firm on assignment to assassinate one of the firm’s most heavily guarded partners.
Part confessional, part DIY manual, The Intern’s Handbook chronicles John’s final assignment, a twisted thrill ride in which he is pitted against the toughest – and sexiest – adversary he’s ever faced: Alice, an FBI agent assigned to take down the same law partner he’s been assigned to kill.

Kuhn has found a powerful theme in the working world.”
“Faceless and forgettable, an intern’s as invisible as a ninja in fluorescent lights—and, at least in John Lago’s case, just as deadly”
“Believable dialogue, a whip smart and cynical central character… help wrap up this nasty package with a pretty little bow.”
-Kirkus Reviews
Black humor and surprise twists distinguish Kuhn’s highly entertaining debut”

John Lago spends the majority of his time sucking up to hedge fund big wigs and powerful lawyers by making copies and brewing perfect cups of coffee. He could tell his superiors his name a hundred times and they would still forget it because they have no respect for someone at the bottom of the barrel, working for free. The irony is that they will heap important duties with total abandon and unlimited access; but what they don’t know is that there is more to John Lago than just an intern…
Simon & Schuster, in partnership with Wunderkind PR, would love to hear what interns think of The Intern’s Handbook.  Interns will be selected from over twenty companies to receive specially marked copies of The Intern’s Handbook.  We’d love to hear what interns think of the book through reviews, feedback and images featuring the Twitter and Facebook hashtag #internships.
