“Hamill tells an amazing story. I cannot wait for more.”-Sarah Chorn, author of Of Honey and Wildfires

“My favourite indie scifi series!”- Jem Zero, author of Home Within Skin

Dalí Tamareia has the terrorist Skadi in their sights – but bringing her in may cost them everything.

Dalí’s role as an undercover operative is compromised, putting a target on their back and threatening the close-knit team aboard Thunder Child. A new lead on Miriam Skadi’s activities forces them back to Luna, where they must confront everything they tried to run from…including their changed relationship with Rion Sumner, who insists on backing up Dalí for this investigation.

But Dalí is not the only one searching for Skadi. An alien presence hunts the terrorist as well, taking over Sumner's body to ensure Dalí’s cooperation. With their team on the other side of the solar system Dalí must depend on this questionable ally to complete the mission, which takes a deadly turn when an old nemesis resurfaces.

If there is any chance for a future with Sumner and their chosen family, Dalí must exorcise the demons haunting them, or they will burn in the heart of a star.

Top 5 Favorite Books

I read so many different things in the science fiction and fantasy genres it’s difficult to pick my favorites! Since THIRD FRONT is the final book in this arc of the Dalí Tamareia Missions, I wanted to share my favorite serial books with you. These are authors whose books I devoured that have more than one serving, so you can go back for more!

1: The Teixcalaan books by Arkady Martine. A Memory Called Empire and A Desolation Called Peace are two of the most amazing science fiction/space opera books I’ve read in years. Ambassador Mahit Dzmare, summoned to the Teixcalaan Empire, finds herself embroiled in court intrigue and a succession coup attempt in the first book, and in the second, brokering peace in a war between Teixcalaan and a faceless enemy who threatens the safety of her home, Lsel Station. I highly recommend the audiobooks, narrated by the incredible Amy Landon.

2: The Kai Gracen Books by Rhys Ford.  All the snark of Dalí in a post-apocalyptic merge with the elfin Underhill, an urban fantasy set in San Diego. Kai Gracen is a stalker, a bounty hunter who takes down dragons and hellhounds and the occasional fire-farting chicken. An elfin chimera with both Dusk and Dawn Court blood, Kai is pursued by his father’s Dusk court minions for the magic he embodies, and for reasons of the heart by the High Lord of the Southern Rise Dawn Court, Ryder, who gets under Kai’s skin in the most irritating and adorable ways. Strong themes of found family. Start with book 1, Black Dog Blues. The narrator of the audiobooks, Greg Tremblay, is phenomenal.

3: The Rivenworld Series by M.L. Spencer. Dragon Mage is the absolute BEST high fantasy I have read in decades. Young Aram is the village misfit, but when a visiting bard recognizes Aram has a rare gift, the adventure begins. This book made me remember what I loved about high fantasy in the first place. The second book will be coming out soon, and the first one is a bit of a heckinchonker at 828 pages, so read it now. It deserves all the praise it’s getting. Indie fantasy bringing its A-game, here.

Happy reading!

E.M. (Elisabeth) Hamill writes adult science fiction and fantasy somewhere in the wilds of eastern suburban Kansas. A nurse by day, wordsmith by night, she is happy to give her geeky imagination free rein and has sworn never to grow up and get boring.

Frequently under the influence of caffeinated beverages, she also writes as Elisabeth Hamill for young adult readers in fantasy with the award-winning Songmaker series.

She lives with her family, where they fend off flying monkey attacks and prep for the zombie apocalypse.
