Masked Innocence is the continuing story of Brad and Julia - the high powered attorney and the innocent intern at the law firm. Having not read the first book in the series proved to have some setbacks - some parts of the plot were confusing and referenced situations that happened in the first book. I would recommend reading the books in order for the full impact of the story. Brad is the incredibly gorgeous and rich lawyer, who is also one of the main characters in the book. He harbors secrets and is full of mysteries - which makes him a well rounded character. Julia - the young law intern - is the leading lady of the book. She's spunky and sassy, but essentially is a "good girl." Brad and Julia seem to be complete opposites (not to mention that he's much older than her and also one of her bosses), but in this case the two complement each other in more ways than one. 

The story itself is a compelling mixture of erotica and suspense. You usually don't find solid storylines in erotica books - at least not one that would still be an amazing story without all the sex. In this case, the complete opposite is true. The author creates a perfect balance of steamy sex along with an absorbing narrative full of suspense, mystery, and twists. The book was definitely a page turner - it was almost impossible to put down once I picked it up. The way the author creates the story with vivid details and descriptive imagery easily has the reader alongside Julia throughout the book. This was easily one of the best contemporary romance/erotica books I've ever read. I'm eagerly awaiting the final book in the trilogy to see how it will end and plan on reading all of the author's other works as well. Very highly recommended for fans of the genre - you need to pick this one up!
