Elena Martinez has

can't say no. All she has to do is participate in a trip to the future
to bring back data, and she'll be set for life.
Elena joins a team of four other teens with special skills, including Adam, a science prodigy with his own reason for being there. But when the time travelers arrive in the future, something goes wrong and they break the only rule they were given: do not look into their own fates.
Now they have twenty-four hours to get back to the present and find a way to stop a seemingly inevitable future from unfolding. With time running out and deadly secrets uncovered, Elena must use her eidetic memory, street smarts, and a growing trust in Adam to save her new friends and herself.

Top 10 Things You Didn't Know About Me
1) I’ve never had my ears pierced. My parents never did them when I was a kid and the idea freaks me out now - even though I have tattoos!
2) I dropped out of high school…but ended up graduating from UCLA with honors.
3) I mentor at-risk teens in writing with an organization called Write Girl.
4) I love dinosaurs, especially T-Rexes. I also love Godzilla. Or really, any giant lizard that stomps around.
5) My husband is from England and his family owns a large sheep farm in Wales.
6) My grandfather was the author of numerous children’s books in Japan, along with some financial non-fiction about the Japanese economy in the 1950s.
7) I’ve been to San Diego Comic-Con every year since 2008. One year I cosplayed as Katniss from The Hunger Games.
8) I’m a Slytherin and my Patronus is a red panda.
9) I type with only my index fingers, but still type really fast. People are baffled when they see me do it!
10) Other than YA, I also write NA romance about rock stars and reality TV shows. You can get the prequel novella to the series free by signing up for my newsletter at www.elizabethbriggsbooks.com!

This cover is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the post! I love that there is so much at stake for the character in this book and the time crunch idea is so exciting! i love strong female characters and she has to be one to be able to deal with so much.
ReplyDeleteI like that she has to work with others to save herself. Thanks for the synopsis.
ReplyDeleteI love the thought of an eidetic being almost like a superpower. I also like the whole paradox, did them going to the future set the future into motion, or just warn them?
