A Flock of Fun is a very cute picture book that talks about a small child and how they try to get to sleep at night, but it doesn't happen the way you would think. They first count sheep, who get into all sorts of trouble, eat lots of food, read stories, and all sorts of antics until they wear themselves out and fall asleep along with the child. The child thinks that a different, quieter animal would help them fall asleep easier, so they try counting snails instead. However, the snails are worse than the silly sheep and the child finds themselves missing the crazy antics of his sheep that help them fall asleep.

The book was really short but told a cute story that every kid can relate to. We all find ourselves having trouble falling asleep sometimes and we each have tricks or habits to help us go to bed. I loved reading about the sheep and all the silly things they did before getting tired themselves and falling asleep all over the child's room. The illustrations were very well done and incredibly cute. I thought that the sheep were adorable - especially the ones that had on underwear! The majority of each page of the story was illustration with the text at the bottom. I loved that the images were so large and took up so much space. The audience this book is aimed for will really enjoy looking at the pictures and seeing the story come to life. I figure this book will be read to small children who can't read themselves yet, so their main focus will be the illustrations. They are simple but cute - perfect for small kids. I definitely recommend this book for little ones who get stories read to them or for children who are learning to read on their own.
