SERIES REVIEW:

The As the World Dies: Untold Tales trilogy is a fantastic collection of short stories that gives the background on some of the favorite characters in the series. Fans of the series will love to learn more about the characters they loved from the books and new readers will get some background on the series and the characters before diving into the books. Each volume consisted of three short stories that featured characters from each of the books in the series. They were fast paced and incredibly well written, which allowed me to read through them very quickly. Although the stories aren't very long, the reader still gets a good grasp on the characters involved as well as the plot of the books - thanks to the writer's exceptional talent. Each story is filled with lots of details and vivid imagery along with a very quick pace and lots of action. Although I'm a huge horror fan, zombies aren't usually my thing (they scare me a bit) - but I have to admit that the author's knack for drawing the reader into the world she created has me hooked. Now I have to face my zombie fear and read the series. I've read several of the author's other works and I know that although I might be scared and probably grossed out, I will not be disappointed in the least. One thing I know is that this author is truly gifted and will easily convert any reader into a fan - regardless of what book of hers they pick up.
