Synopsis:

Mira and Francesca Cillo—beautiful, overprotected, odd—seemed untouchable. But Ben touched seven parts of Mira: her palm, hair, chest, cheek, lips, throat, and heart. After the sisters drown themselves in the quarry lake, a post-mortem letter from Mira sends Ben on a quest to find notes in the seven places where they touched. Note by note, Ben discovers the mystical secret at the heart of Mira and Francesca's world, and that some things are better left untouched.

Today I'm going to be trying out a new approach to writing my review. Instead of a long, drawn out speech - I'm going to keep it short and sweet. I personally don't like to read really long reviews when I just want to know the rating and what the reader liked/disliked. And, to be honest, I don't enjoy writing long reviews. I feel like I'm droning on and boring everyone else in the process. I've seen other reviewers doing short list-type reviews and I think it's a great idea, so that's what I'm going to be trying. Please let me know what you think in the comments - I'd love some feedback!

Pros:
- An intricate and well woven mystery with tons of twists to keep you guessing
- Rounded and complex characters
- Fantastic attention to detail with vivid imagery and descriptions

Cons:
- Third person point of view (I definitely wish it would have been first person instead)

Kim Savage is the author of AFTER THE WOODS, a debut psychological thriller for young adults coming on Feb 23, 2016 with Farrar, Straus and Giroux/Macmillan. Her second thriller for young adults comes from FSG is 2017. Before writing fiction, she worked as business journalist, pitching stories along the lines of “Stigmatized Properties: When Murder Kills Property Values”. You get the idea.
