In this fourth installment in the New  York Times bestselling series from Edgar Award winner James Ponti, the  young group of spies go codebreaking in Cairo in another international  adventure perfect for fans of Spy School and Mrs.  Smith’s Spy School for Girls.

Codename Kathmandu, better known as Kat, loves logic and order, has a favorite  eight-digit number, and can spot a pattern from a mile away. So when a series  of cyberattacks hits key locations in London while the spies are testing  security for the British Museum, it’s clear that Kat’s skill for finding reason  in what seems like randomness makes her the perfect candidate to lead the job.

And while the team follows the deciphered messages to Egypt and the ancient  City of the Dead to discover who is behind the attacks and why, Kat soon  realizes that there’s another layer to the mystery.

With more players, more clues, and involving higher levels of British  Intelligence than ever before, this mission is one of the most complex that the  group has faced to date. And it’s also going to bring about a change to the  City Spies…

Twin sisters Maddie and Jo Livingston have spent their lives traveling the world with their famous archaeologist parents. But when the Livingstons’ work takes them on a mysterious year-long excavation in Siberia, much too dangerous for two twelve-year-old girls, Maddie and Jo are whisked off to a castle in Switzerland, where they find themselves piecing together a mystery of their own.

Madame Molineaux’s School for Girls is filled with interesting students and professors from all over Europe. But it doesn’t take long for the girls to figure out that this is no ordinary boarding school: bizarre animals, hidden tapestries, secret tunnels, and a long list of unanswered questions keep Maddie, Jo, and their new friends searching for clues around every corner. Where is that snotty Rosemary Byron going when she sneaks out of her dormitory at night? What secret is their beloved headmistress trying to protect? Who is concealing treasures in the unlikeliest of hiding places? The girls must put all these strange pieces together to discover the staggering truth, and to save their school before Madame Molineaux’s closes its doors—for good!

 Book Playlist

Before I became an author, I spent much of my life as a classical cellist. So, be warned, most of this playlist is classical in nature! But it absolutely fits the setting of our story.

I spent hundreds of hours, if not thousands, dreaming up and writing the 1930’s Swiss boarding school setting of Twin Sisters Livingston. While I dreamt, wrote, scratched out, and rewrote, I listened to the following songs on repeat. If I had to describe the themes of all these songs in five words, I’d say, “beautiful, elegant, thrilling OR haunting, mysterious, and eerie.” Take a listen and tell me if you hear the same things!

Here’s the link, and the song descriptions are below: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/12YivZG3aDMs7KplrzS7tk?si=gm4PwDSmQAamEo1VdNO-UQ
