Description:
With Izzy’s support, Darlena begins making fragile strides toward repairing the mess she made, but she just can’t catch a break. As chaos runs rampant around her, Darlena begins to think that things would be better if she’d never become a Red Witch in the first place. But there’s no way to change the past…is there?
The final book in the Red Magic series brings Darlena face to face with impossible odds, and a terrifying choice.
Triumph of Chaos is the third and final book in the thrilling Red Magic Trilogy. It picks up where the previous one left off - with Darlena trying to figure out a way to destroy Hecate and the rest of the Red Gods. She and Izzy decide that they're going to need the help of the other Witches - which doesn't go over so well. Darlena has serious trust issues after everything that's happened over the past few years, and it seems like the other Witches are just as wary of her. Darlena's beginning to really wonder if deciding to become a Red Witch was a huge mistake. When she finds out that there might be a chance she could change her decision - she's faced with one of the biggest choices in her life.
This book was truly bittersweet for me. I read and loved the first two books in the trilogy, so I was really excited to find out how it was going to end - but on the other hand, I loved this series so much that I hated the fact it was over. I guess if it had to be the final book, then I was hoping it went out with pizazz. Luckily, the author had the same ideas as I did, and I was far from disappointed with the outcome. It lived up to all the hopes and expectations I may have had - and even surpassed them. Darlena continued to be a strong female lead. She had some terrifying situations to face and staggering decisions to make, but she rose to the occasion as she always did. Remembering back to the first book, I can really see how much Darlena's character has changed and grown during the trilogy. I loved watching her mature, overcome hardships, and really come into her own as a Red Witch. The other aspects of the novel were fantastic as well - the world that the author had created for the series continued to be fascinating and easy to slip into right from the start of each book. All of the characters, the settings, the situations, etc. - were all written with great attention to detail and vivid descriptions, and it stayed that way throughout the trilogy.
The plot was intriguing and fast paced, as well as original. It built upon the story line from the previous books and then kept on going to finish the main plot and tied up any loose ends. I really enjoyed reading this series - and now that the final book is out - I can't wait to re-read them all at once. I highly recommend this book (and series) to fans of YA fantasy, as well as readers who enjoy paranormal fiction, suspense, action, adventure, and books that involve magic and witches. Pick up this trilogy now!
